Allen Meadows - Score: 90-93 (2022 January)

A slightly fresher nose combines notes of black raspberry, cherry, poached plum and violet, all of which is surrounded by discreet but perceptible wood. The finer but still attractively punchy middle weight flavors possess good detail on the lingering if mildly warm finish where a similar hint of bitter pit fruit character gradually emerges. This is definitely more structured than it usually is, and patience will absolutely be required.
